Vastu for the Main door:- 

The face is our first introduction to the world and the world’s introduction to us, since four senses i.e. the power of seeing, smelling, hearing, and tasting are located on the face. 

In Vastu, the main front door is considered the most sensitive and can be termed as the face of the house. Hence the front door in a home should be pleasant and inviting.

1- The main door should neither be in the middle of the house nor in the very corner. The corners of the house must be left empty, for the wellness of the inhabitants.  In whichever direction the door is to be made, it is best to divide the wall portion into nine equal parts. Then design the door by leaving five parts from the right and three parts from the left.

2. The main door size as per Vastu should be the biggest in the house. It is better if it comes in two parts rather than one big unit. Ensure that the doorway is well-spaced and away from corners.

3-It is not considered good to make the main door by making a hole in an already built wall, that is, breaking the wall. This may result in distress and sorrow for the family.

4-. For the best direction to place your main door, north-east is the most auspicious, It derives immense energy owing to its exposure to the sun in the morning. The second-best direction is North, that this placement can bring wealth and fortune to the family. 

5-If there is no other option and you must have the entrance in the west direction, never settle for the southwest entrance., ensure that it is the northwest entrance direction, the benefits of the evening sun and prosperity can be welcomed this way. 

6- A wooden door may be the most auspicious for the main door in any direction. However, if your main door is in the south direction, the door should have a combination of wood and metal. Similarly, if the door is in the west, it should have metal work on it. The main door of a house in the north direction should have more silver color and if your main door entrance is in the east, it should be made of wood and decorated with limited metal accessories.

 7- It is not considered proper if the main door opens and closes on its own. It will result in a lack of happiness.

8- If you have steps at your entrance, an odd number of steps is believed to bring good fortune.

9- A clean house, especially the main door entrance, attracts positive energy  There should not be any obstruction in front of the main gate in the form of dustbins, broken chairs or stools, door pillar, wall, rock, mud place, well, ditch, generator, parked car (not moving), open-drain,  The main door of the house should always have a threshold, (marble or wood), as it is believed that it absorbs negative vibes and allows only positive energy to pass through.

10-According to Vastu, toran on the main door is auspicious and it attracts good fortune.  The main door torans play a significant role in balancing the energies of the house and not allowing evil energies inside the house.

11- Near the main door or house entrance, Place a glass pot filled with water and flower petals, Since water is a bad conductor of negative energy, stick Lakshmi feet stickers at the entrance, it will help you in keeping your home and family members healthy.

12-As per Vastu Shastra for house entrance, to repel negative energy from entering the house, one can hang a black horseshoe at the entrance door. Decorate the main door with divine symbols., as they are considered auspicious and invite good fortune.

13- Doorbells with jarring, brassy, or high sounds should be avoided, also there should be no hoarse sound when the opening is closed. Keep Doorbell with a soothing and soft sound, to enhance the positive energy of the home.

14- Do not let the footwear and dirt spread near the main door. This allows negativity to enter the house.
